If you’re looking for a convenient and accessible hotel for your stay in Dubai that won’t hurt your budget, Somewhere Hotel Apartment is the perfect choice.

The hotel is located in the business area in the older part of Dubai, which is gives more personal and cultural experience when visiting the City. Upon arrival we were surprised by how close the hotel was located to the subway station and all the small restaurants located in the area.

As we entered the hotel, the staff was quick to welcome us and help us with our luggage. The lobby was beautifully decorated–very local yet modern. We also noticed how clean the hotel was, something that we are always quick to notice when we visit hotels (cleanliness is very important to us!)

Free WiFi is works effortlessly everywhere in the hotel (even outside!), so for the WiFi addictive, don’t fret.

The swimming pool area had a small pool and a Jacuzzi, which we really enjoyed. We recommend you time your visit to the pool, as the sun terrace is located at a fairly lower level, the sun doesn’t really reach the pool due to the surround tall story buildings. The sunbeds on the terrace were really nice as the big ones could fit maybe 2-3 people.

Somewhere Hotel Apartments also offers spa services, gym and free parking.

Breakfast buffet is served downstairs in the hotel restaurant, Nay Café. They offer a wide selection of Mediterranean and continental dishes. In the evening, the restaurant serves an a la carte menu for affordable prices.

Room service is available 24 hours.

We stayed in a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite, which was really spacious and fully furnished. The room had one bedroom, a lounge area, a master bathroom, an additional rest room and a fully equipped kitchenette.

The bedroom was furnished with a king sized bed and a quite big closet, so if you’re traveling a little heavier, you don’t have to live in your suitcase. We had some good nights of sleep, as the beds were very spacious and comfy.

If your traveling on a budget, the kitchenette will help you save a lot, you can buy groceries in the mall near by and cook at home. If you are staying for a longer period of time and have cooked more than you can eat, there is also a full size fridge. Although there is no dining table, the kitchenette has a bar table with two high chairs. The lounge area has two couches and a large sofa table, so if you’re a big party you’ll be okay.

The room is also equipped with a desk for the business travelers with a charging station. In-room WiFi is also available, which was very convenient for work and calling family and friends back home.

A flatscreen TV with cable is also available in the room, which is pretty nice. Especially for longer stays or if you forgot to bring movies with you (tip: remember to bring your own movies!!!)

Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available, but we recommend choosing a non- smoking room even if you are a smoker. You can always go down to catch some fresh air.

The location of the newly established hotel provides the guests easy and immediate access to public transportation making commuting comfortable and relaxed. In close proximity, guests can effortlessly take the city’s metro and tram to Marina Walk, Jumeirah Beach Walk and top shopping destination Mall of the Emirates. For the business travellers, the hotel is only ten minutes away from the well-known business areas in the city such as Media City, and the hotel is conveniently located just a taxi ride away from the new airport Al Maktoum International, at Dubai World Central (DWC).
