Sitting on a more than 10 story high cliff in South of Bali is the beautiful Hilton Bali Resort. It’s local style of interior and touch makes it the perfect place for a getaway and indulge in Balinese culture without having to compromise the luxurious services.
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
Although a part of the mega hotel and resort chain, we really love and appreciate that Hilton Bali Resort has maintained and kept it’s Balinese culture and values.
The resort had many activities and we were so lucky during our stay at the Hilton Bali Resort–on the same day as our arrival, they were going to release 90 baby turtles and all the guests were invited. We were ecstatic! We heard that this only happens once a year, so we were so happy. We were at the resort mid April, so if you’re planning to visit the Hilton Bali Resort and want to experience the release of baby turtles, remember to ask when they’ll be hosting this event.
The privacy and additional refreshments throughout the day at the Executive Lounge made our stay at the Hilton Bali resort even more memorable. The staff was very attentive making sure our thirsts were quenched and always refreshed. The Executive Lounge at the Hilton Bali Resort is definitely worth paying extra for, as it offers cabanas feels secluded from the rest of the resort and offers snacks and drinks from am to pm.
Although sitting on a cliff, there’s a direct access to the beach from the resort. You only have to take the elevator 14 stories down to sea level and within a minute, you’ll be able to bury your feet and in the sand. We do warn you–the waves of Nusa Dua are quite choppy, so if you’re wearing a bikini, make sure it’s tight! If the waves pull you down, who know’s where it’ll end?! (Trust us, we speak from experience!)
If you’re not into surfing or otherwise taking on these aggressive waves, there are different pools to choose from; An active pool to play water sports with a faux beach, a larger pool for relaxing and with a water slide connected and a water bar!
The fitness room is located on the same level as the beach and is equipped with the essentials needed for a full body workout. What we loved the most about this gym facility compared to some of the other fitness rooms we’ve encountered, is that it has a yoga/stretching area–the perfect place to do some of the exercises that require quite a lot of space.
The resort really has everything you’d need during a short stay. The Hilton Bali Resort offers a variety of kitchens, taking your palette through the Asian, Balinese and continental kitchens. Apart from Brasserie Des Celebrites – where the daily breakfast is served – the resort offers five different restaurants.
We really enjoyed the Japanese restaurant, Shiki and the evening buffet at the Shore. What’s interesting about the restaurants at the Hilton Bali Resort, is that every day, one of the restaurants hosts some kind of “special event”. Make sure to try some of them out during your stay!
Wi-fi is available everywhere on the resort! So just stay calm and connected.
The Executive Lounge Access at the Hilton Bali Resort is one of the highlights from our stay. You pay a fee and then all the things listed below are available to you throughout the day:
- Daily breakfast
- Afternoon tea
- Evening cocktail
- All day refreshments
- Access to a private Executive Lounge infinity Pool
- Sunbeds and cabanas
The on-site spa service, Mandara Spa was truly a heavenly experience. Read more about it here (link).
We stayed in a King One Bedroom Ocean View Suite with the most amazing view overlooking the resort, beach and ocean. On the veranda we caught the beautiful sunset and watched the sun rise at 6-7 am in the morning. All the photos in the world simply doesn’t do these beautiful sceneries justice–they must be experienced first-hand!
The room is 100 sq. m./1.076 sq. ft and if you book your this suite the Executive Lounge is included during your stay. What’s not to love?
The suite includes a lovely lounge area with rotating flatscreen TV, dining area with seating of four, the most comfortable king-size bed, one master marble bathroom with deep soaking tub and seperate shower, and a guest powder room.
- Bali Collection
- Bali Museum
- Surfing Point Geger Beach
