BHAYA CRUISES – THE AU CO INTRODUCTION (FROM WEBSITE)
The Au Co Luxury Cruise takes you further, exploring untouched i
Aboard The Au Co Luxury Cruise, a luxury cruise means a safe cruise. Unwilling to compromise the customers’ experience, aboard the Au Co we have set new benchmarks in Halong for both luxury and safety. The Au Co makes sure to deliver the full comfort and memorable cruise experiences for passengers.
Aboard The Au Co Luxury Cruise, we offer our esteemed guests a chance to participate in the variety of activities, throughout the 3-day cruise, which creates an authentic and traditional Vietnamese cultural experience.
WHY WE WOULD RECOMMEND BHAYA CRUISES/WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
It was a pleasure being on the Au Co Cruise. The Au Co Luxury Cruise is the most luxurious cruise you can take in Halong Bay and the high standard of luxury was carried throughout
We have a lot of good things to say about our tour with Bhaya, but the one thing that stands out was the level of service on the boat. The service on the boat was absolutely exceptional. The staff was very attentive, smiling and accommodating. There were 35 staff members for 11 guests! They were very good at making us feel at home at the boat, which is very important since we were all staying there for 3 days. They made sure to get to know each and every guest, giving us all a sense of familiarity. They really exceeded our expectations. We feel like going back just to visit them If you see Sam, Eddie, Alex, Ruby, Anna, and Tiger, please send them our regards! They truly made our trip special.
The second thing worth mentioning is the food served on the cruise. We got to go on a culinary journey through Halong and Northern Vietnam. There was an immense focus on details on each plate and each course was a gastronomic adventure for us. Long story short: the food was REALLY good! We had a barbeque night on our last night with a huge selection of seafood, meat and sides.. YUUUUM!
Last but not least, our room! Our room was absolutely perfect. We got to stay in the Au Co Suite with own terrace located on the bow of the ship, giving us a stunning view of Halong Bay at all times. Words don’t suffice to describe the beauty of waking up and falling asleep to the view of Halong Bay.

We visited YOTEL Singapore earlier this year and didn’t really know what to expect from this – what we found out – luxury budget hotel in Singapore. Keep on reading to understand why we warmly recommend YOTEL Singapore!
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
YOTEL Singapore opened its doors on October 1st, 2017, so everything from interior to exterior is brand new and screams sleek and modern design. Upon entering the hotel, you are greeted with this futuristic interior, with the option of self-check in or assisted check-in.
What truly won our hearts over was location of the hotel. Located at the heart of Singapore’s shopping district, Orchard Road, YOTEL Singapore is the perfect hotel whether you’re in the country for a quick shopping trip or staying for a longer period of time. From the hotel, we walked to Marina Bay Sands and enjoyed the walk back as well (which you can imagine takes some time with all the stores and malls along the way). If you choose a room with a view like Premium Queen View, you’ll have an incredible view of Orchard Road and the rest of the beautiful city.
The room was quite small, but the smart bed makes up for this little space. The bed in YOTEL Singapore is built with an elevator, so if you push the bed back enough it becomes a sofa!
YOTEL Singapore serves a daily breakfast in their in-house restaurant Grains and Hops located on the 10th floor. They serve Western and Asian options.
Outside of Grains and Hops you’ll find a swimming pool just big enough to swim laps or relax. If swimming isn’t for you, it’s also possible to relax on the sunbeds.
On the same floor as the restaurant and swimming pool you will also find YOTEL Singapore’s gym. It is accessible via your keycard and is equipped with essentials such as a treading mill and weights.
We stayed in the Premium Queen View which was quite small – but justifiable as they call the rooms cabins. However, as we travel to explore the city and country we visit, not to stay inside the room, we didn’t mind this at all. As mentioned earlier, the beds are awesome as they can transform into a sofa, giving a little bit more space to roam around.
The room had quite nice flat screen TV, media hub, mini bar and even a rain shower – can you imagine? In such a little room. We were very impressed. We love our rain showers!!
The cherry on top of the room must be the breathtaking view from the toilet. Quite an ambivalent feeling to sit on the John knowing nobody and possible everybody can see you!
Everything only footsteps away

What we like the most about Hotel Isa is their central location in Rome. A handful of the main tourist attractions such as Saint Peter’s Square, Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza di Spagna are only a few minute’s walk away.
We also enjoyed the rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed the astonishing view of St Peter’s Basilica’s dome, the Cupola.
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
Because Singapore is such a vibrant city filled with a lot of things to do and see, it was very convenient for us that Hotel G was located in the midst of them all. It did not take us long to walk to Orchard road, and while doing so, we got to explore various eateries and attractions.
Apart from the location, we also liked the interior design of the hotel. Hotel G is designed with trendy and graphic elements that reflects the cosmopolitan and dynamism of the Lion City, and you can see this in every aspect of the hotel.
Hotel G has a fitness center with a vintage atmosphere that is open 24/7 and a communal area equipped with connectivity and plugs, making it a good workplace for business travellers. This gives guests the opportunity to work, eat, drink and mingle at the same time. Doesn’t that sound nice?
Hotel G has two restaurants Ginett Restaurant & Wine Bar and 25 Degrees Burger & Liquor Bar.
Ginett Restaurant & Wine Bar is located on the first floor. The restaurant offers different types of food such as cold cuts and cheese, premium wines and daily specials cooked with quality ingredients. This is also where the breakfast buffet is served.
25 Degrees is a sophisticated American burger & liquor bar located on the first floor of Hotel G Singapore. Sister venue to the popular 25 Degrees in Los Angeles, Chicago, Huntington Beach and Bangkok, 25 Degrees offers gourmet burgers and comfort food paired with liquors or wines in a chic and eclectic atmosphere.
We can highly recommend both places for a night out since they are good places to grab a bite to eat and drink before hitting the city!
Hotel G has 308 rooms, split in to 3 categories: Good, Great to Greater all designed with a vintage aesthetic. Each room features awesome facilities and amenities such as an IPTV system with screen mirroring capabilities and free movie channels. They also offer a X Phone for free local calls and data roaming! How convenient for us tourists! No need to bring your adaptors here too! Each room has a working desk with a supply of universal adaptors!
We stayed in one of Hotel G’s Good rooms. The room was 11-13 sqm. with a double bed and bathroom. The room was perfect for solo travellers but it can also fit 2 persons without any problems. The room is perfect for business travellers and tourists planning to explore the city by day, and have a nice place to stay and relax by night.
As mentioned above, Hotel G has the perfect location for conveying the area. The hotel is located near Orchard Road and Bugis retail precincts, Civic and Museums district, Marina Bay and Esplanade, as well as the Suntec City Convention Centre. There are a lot of cafés, restaurants and shops within the area.
We recommend taking a tour in the Bugis area to experience the old and new Singapore culture. Here you will also find a lot of shopping malls, street food stalls and traditional back-alley market stalls.

Two Seasons Coron Resort and Spa is a 5-star eco-friendly haven and known as the first eco-friendly luxury island resort in Coron. Two Seasons Coron Resort and Spa is located on the beautiful Malaroyroy Peninsula in Bulalacao Island, only a short boar ride from Coron town.
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
Coron is, hands down, one of the most beautiful places we have every visited and experiencing it from the Two Seasons Coron Resort and Spa has truly heightened our experience.
The island was absolutely beautiful! Two Seasons Coron Resort and Spa is located on a remote island, a short boat trip from Coron town, offering its guest pure relaxation and privacy. We loved the beach with its crystal clear water and fine sand. A perfect place to relax, get some tan and enjoy the sunset.
We stayed one of the Island Tip Bungalows, with a jacuzzi on the verandah overlooking the breathtaking sunset ocean. The room was furnished with a contemporary Filipino tropical design with aceiling-mounted rainshower in the gigantic bathroom. Pure luxury! We could have stayed there for days! We can recommend having diner on the veranda one evening while enjoying the sunset!
We can also recommend booking a treatment at Two Seasons Coron Resort and Spa’s Narra Spa! Their massage therapist were very skilled and professional. We really enjoyed our massage + we got a complimentary sarong!
Aside from the hotels ammenities, what we loved the most are the warm hearted staff at the hotel. As soon as we came out of the airport Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa’s staff greeted us and welcomed us with a smile. They were so good to us, very helpfull and always greeting us with a smile during our stay. The service on both Two Seasons Coron are absolutely outstanding!
As mentioned above Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa has a wonderful beach filled with sun beds at your service. They provide their guests with complimentary snorkel equipment and a vast of water sports activities such as Sea kayaks, Catamaran, Paddle boat, Stand-up paddle boards etc. We wanted to burn off some calories and at the same time, go for an adventure so we rented one of the hotels sea kayaks and paddled around the island. It was not as easy as we thought, but it was loads of fun! Should you wish to discover Corons underwater gems, Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa has hydrobob submersible scooters for rent.
Should you need a change of venue, or feeling a bit hungry but not ready to leave the water just yet, Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa has a 600 sqm adult & kiddie pool surrounded by even more sunbeds and huts for relaxation.
The pool is located near the resort’s Bahura Bar, a unique, reef-inspired bar with an ideal setting that fuses great music, design, and flavor. Our favorite thing about Bahuda bar is that it is adjacent to the pool of Two Seasons Resort, making it the perfect location for relaxing and enjoying the sun with a cocktail in hand. Open from 8 am to 12 midnight.
Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa has one main restaurant which is Sulu Restaurant. They serve continental cuisine as well as tradisional Filipino with a modern tropical ambience. A tip when going to remote islands in Asia! Always order a dish from the sea! They are more fresh and are usually the highlights of the menu. We ordered their lobster, which was an absolute delight to our tastebuds!! MMMM…! A must try! Sulu Restaurant is open daily from 6 am too 10 pm.
Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa offers guided tour packages to the famous hotspots in Coron such as Twin Lagoon, Siete Pecados, Kayangan Lake, Skeleton Wreck (Coron Island Tour A Package ) etc. Just ask front desk and they’re happy help you out and plan the trip with you. We really recommend that you look into these tours to get the most out of your stay and to explore the beautiful wonders that Coron has to offer. We went for a half day beach tour to a nearby island during our stay. The package includes a tour guide, lunch and refreshments.
Should you wish to explore the underwater wonders that Coron has to offer, then Two Seasons Coron Island Resort and Spa’s offers a wide range of diving packages at their Aqua Sports Center. Coron is famous as the number one wreck diving destination in the Philippines and one of the best worldwide. From the 24 ships that sank when the American Forces bombarded Japanese warships during World War II, only 12 wrecks have been located in accessible depths ranging from 25 to 40 meters, so we can highly recommend diving while you are here!
As mentioned, we spent our stay in one of the resorts Island Tip Bungalows. As the name implies, the bungalow was located on the island tip. The room was furnished with king-sized beds with elegant aged woods headboards discarded from old railroad tracks with a verandah with an outdoor jacuzzi! The bathroom offers a giant ceiling mounted rainshower with a folding glass door that directly leads to the outdoor jacuzzi.
L’Occitane amenities and a complimentary mini-bar are provided in the Island Tip Bungalows. Yes, you read it right COMPLIMENTARY MINI-BAR! (We didn’t believe it to start with either! Too good to be true!)
We got to enjoy the sun and beautiful view of the ocean during the day and the stunning sunset view while relaxing in the jacuzzi in the evening. What more can you ask for?

Sitting on a more than 10 story high cliff in South of Bali is the beautiful Hilton Bali Resort. It’s local style of interior and touch makes it the perfect place for a getaway and indulge in Balinese culture without having to compromise the luxurious services.
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
Although a part of the mega hotel and resort chain, we really love and appreciate that Hilton Bali Resort has maintained and kept it’s Balinese culture and values.
The resort had many activities and we were so lucky during our stay at the Hilton Bali Resort–on the same day as our arrival, they were going to release 90 baby turtles and all the guests were invited. We were ecstatic! We heard that this only happens once a year, so we were so happy. We were at the resort mid April, so if you’re planning to visit the Hilton Bali Resort and want to experience the release of baby turtles, remember to ask when they’ll be hosting this event.
The privacy and additional refreshments throughout the day at the Executive Lounge made our stay at the Hilton Bali resort even more memorable. The staff was very attentive making sure our thirsts were quenched and always refreshed. The Executive Lounge at the Hilton Bali Resort is definitely worth paying extra for, as it offers cabanas feels secluded from the rest of the resort and offers snacks and drinks from am to pm.
Although sitting on a cliff, there’s a direct access to the beach from the resort. You only have to take the elevator 14 stories down to sea level and within a minute, you’ll be able to bury your feet and in the sand. We do warn you–the waves of Nusa Dua are quite choppy, so if you’re wearing a bikini, make sure it’s tight! If the waves pull you down, who know’s where it’ll end?! (Trust us, we speak from experience!)
If you’re not into surfing or otherwise taking on these aggressive waves, there are different pools to choose from; An active pool to play water sports with a faux beach, a larger pool for relaxing and with a water slide connected and a water bar!
The fitness room is located on the same level as the beach and is equipped with the essentials needed for a full body workout. What we loved the most about this gym facility compared to some of the other fitness rooms we’ve encountered, is that it has a yoga/stretching area–the perfect place to do some of the exercises that require quite a lot of space.
The resort really has everything you’d need during a short stay. The Hilton Bali Resort offers a variety of kitchens, taking your palette through the Asian, Balinese and continental kitchens. Apart from Brasserie Des Celebrites – where the daily breakfast is served – the resort offers five different restaurants.
We really enjoyed the Japanese restaurant, Shiki and the evening buffet at the Shore. What’s interesting about the restaurants at the Hilton Bali Resort, is that every day, one of the restaurants hosts some kind of “special event”. Make sure to try some of them out during your stay!
Wi-fi is available everywhere on the resort! So just stay calm and connected.
The Executive Lounge Access at the Hilton Bali Resort is one of the highlights from our stay. You pay a fee and then all the things listed below are available to you throughout the day:
- Daily breakfast
- Afternoon tea
- Evening cocktail
- All day refreshments
- Access to a private Executive Lounge infinity Pool
- Sunbeds and cabanas
The on-site spa service, Mandara Spa was truly a heavenly experience. Read more about it here (link).
We stayed in a King One Bedroom Ocean View Suite with the most amazing view overlooking the resort, beach and ocean. On the veranda we caught the beautiful sunset and watched the sun rise at 6-7 am in the morning. All the photos in the world simply doesn’t do these beautiful sceneries justice–they must be experienced first-hand!
The room is 100 sq. m./1.076 sq. ft and if you book your this suite the Executive Lounge is included during your stay. What’s not to love?
The suite includes a lovely lounge area with rotating flatscreen TV, dining area with seating of four, the most comfortable king-size bed, one master marble bathroom with deep soaking tub and seperate shower, and a guest powder room.

Palawan has been declared as one of the most beautiful Islands in the world and sitting on one of it’s hidden gems, Coron, is Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel. Surrounded by clear water as far as the eye can see on one side and a big mountain on the other, it truly is a heaven on Earth.
Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel is the perfect hotel and focal point for exploring Coron and visiting the nearby Islands.
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
First of all, we really can’t emphasize how beautiful everything is near this Island. By itself, Coron may be one of the most amazing place’s we have ever visited, but experiencing it from the Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel has truly heightened our experience.
We spent one night in the hotel’s Panorama Suite and one night in the Bayview King Room with Deck Access, and between these two rooms/suites, we definitely prefer the Panorama Suite. Waking up in the midst of water and mountains is just too unreal. If you ever plan to visit, a night or two in this suite is absolutely a MUST.
If the Island didn’t speak for itself, we owe our recommendations to the lovely staff of the hotel. Our concierge was so, so kind, could answer all questions we had regarding the hotel’s establishment and do’s and don’ts of the Island–and even handing out tips before we even asked. We really appreciated this as we only had two days in Coron, it was hard to put a finger on what we wanted to do and see exactly!
On the deckside of the hotel you’ll find the Bayside infinity pool overlooking the beautiful ocean an mountains. There are sunbeds by the pool and free towel service. Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct beach access from the hotel, but we’re sure the hotel personnel can guide you in the direction of the nearest beach.
Again, the amazing ocean view at combined with the comfort and quality of the hotel in might make Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel the best one in Coron!
BAYA Reto Lounge is the hotel’s restaurant. They serve continental and international cuisine but the star players on the menu were for us the Filippino food. The servings were great in size and the taste was authentic. We can definitely recommend eating here, especially on those days where you don’t know whether you should eat in or out. At Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel we vote IN!
Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel also offers guide tours whether you like them to be private or if you’d rather prefer to join a tour to meet other people. The tours they offer are included transportation to the harbour. Just ask front desk and they’ll help you out. We went on a private tour to visit Twin Lagoon, Siete Pecados and a shipwreck divesite to name a few. We really recommend that you look into these tours as they seriously will heighten your trip to Coron.
The hotel doesn’t offer in-house Spa services, they do however cooperate with an external Spa service. They send out the masseuse to the hotel and use the bed as a spa bed. It doesn’t seem fancy or anything but it’s still pretty nice!
We spent our first night in the Panorama Suite with 36.3 sq. m. of living space including a king size bed, flatscreen TV, lounge area and veranda. The bathroom was 14.6 sq. m. with stone tiles and lovely L’occitane shower products.
The suite had floor-to-ceiling windows, so when the blinds were up the ocean and mountains we exposed and it was simply beautiful. Overlooking this beautiful scenery evening and morning was simply so mesmerising. The bathroom had the same windows, so while taking a bath you’ll be surrounded by this amazing view. Just note that the floors aren’t one-way, so if your planning on stripping down, take the blinds down and once you’re in the tubbytub, take them up!
Although this suite isn’t large in squaremeters, the view of the endless view surely makes up for it – if you ever plan on visiting Coron, we can really recommend this suite!
We were only meant to stay at the Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel for one night, but as the ferries towards El Nido were cancelled on the following day we were forced to stay in Coron–a little blessing in disguise as we weren’t ready to part ways with the gorgeous Island. As the Panorama Suites were fully booked, we stayed in the Bayview King Room with Deck Access. The room is 27.3 sq. m. of living space including a king size bed, flatscreen TV, desk and deck access. On the deck the every room has two chairs, which was pretty nice. There are also sunbeds on the deck if you prefer some privacy and away from the crowd around the pool.
The hotel can be accessed directly from the main road and is close to small shops. If you don’t want to walk, a tricycle is 10 pesos per peson per ride, which is super cheap!
Places to visit during your stay in Coron:
- Kayangan Lake
- Twin Lagoon
- Siete Pecados
- Barracuda Lake
- Shipwreck dive sites
- Culion Island
- Maquinit hot spring
These sites can be visited via a tour, just ask front desk and they’ll be more than happy to help you with your request!

VELASSARU – PURE LUXURY
When you think about the Maldives, luxury, water villas, crystal clear waters and privacy in remote islands are the first things that comes to mind. This is exactly how Velassaru Maldives is. So if you want the full Maldivian resort experience, Velassaru Maldives is the perfect place for you.
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
What we love the most, is definitely our water villa. These are what the Maldives are known for, and the water villa at Velassaru is exactly how you’ve imagined it to be. We really enjoyed the direct access to the crystal clear water. Each villa is equipped with two pairs of snorkeling gear, so you can go snorkeling whenever. Velassaru Maldives is the perfect place for people who would like the luxurious Maldivian resort experience. It is all about luxury and privacy.
As mentioned earlier, the resort is on a remote island away from civilization. This might sound boring after a while, but not Velassaru Maldives. They have plenty of facilities and activities to choose from, so there is always something new to do and explore every day.
Velassaru Maldives has 5 different enticing dining venues, all with different types of kitchens, so whether you prefer Italian, Asian, Mediterranean or some good old international favorites, Velassaru Maldives has something for your tastebuds. Their breakfast buffet offers a large variety of dishes both international and Maldivian. You MUST taste their freshly made waffles and crepes! They were absolutely delicious!
When you feel like having a drink or to simply relax, Velassaru Maldives has two fantastic bars; Chill Bar and Fen Bar. Chill Bar lives up to its name, it is very chill!. It is a large sundeck, which is perfect for ‘’chilling’’ or relaxing while enjoying the Maldivian sun. Fen Bar much bigger than Chill Bar, and is located close to the other restaurants. Fen Bar is also very ‘chill. They have these beanbags by the sand, oversized daybeds and really comfortable hammocks! Fen Bar is right beside their beautiful infinity pool, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun.
For the gym addicts or those who just wants to break a sweat and burn off some of the calories you’ve consumed from indulging in the delicious cuisines, do not fret! Velassaru has a fitness center, tennis court and a complimentary sunset yoga class, 3 times a week (17:30 – 18:30).
If you’re more for water activities, they offer a complimentary morning cruise and guided snorkelling tours. If you prefer snorkeling by your own, each villa is equipped with 2 pairs of snorkeling gears, so you can snorkel whenever you want to! They also offer a huge variety of watersports activities such as water skis, wakeboarding, windsurfing, parasailing and much more. For those who wants to explore the underwater wonders, Velassaru Maldives has a PADI-certified dive school, so you can take your diver’s license while on the island.
For those who simply wants to relax, Velassaru Spa has more than 10 water treatment rooms for your service! As I mentioned before, there is plenty of things to do at the resort.
We stayed in one of Velassarus Water Villas. It was absolutely breathtaking! The villa was just how we imagined that it would be; over-water, sun terrace with direct access to the ocean and nothing less than pure luxury. As soon as we came in, we immediately spotted the large windows giving us a view of the ocean. It is perfect for viewing the sunset. It was a spacious 112sqm Villa, with a huge living room, LCD tv, DVD player, Minibar, Tea- and coffee-making facilities and a huge bathroom with L’Occitane bath products! The villa screamed luxury at first sight.
When we weren’t enjoying laying in out huge comfortable bed watching tv, we spent our time out at the terrace equipped with sunbeds and a huge sofa. We loved the direct access to the ocean so much, that we started each day out with a morning swim!
It was such a luxurious experience. It is exactly how you imagine it would be when you see pictures of water villas in the Maldives! We really enjoyed our stay.
The resort is on a remote island located in South Malé approximately 25 minutes away from Malé International Airport.
HOW TO GET THERE
The resort has a service team at the airport, to escort their guest to their speedboats upon arrival.
As soon as we arrived on the island, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and upon check out, they make sure to bid their guest farewell as well. We really liked this about Velassaru Maldives. This showed us how much they value each and every guest.

THE PERFECT BALINESE GETAWAY PARADISE
The word Jamahal means ‘precious time’ in ancient Sanskrit, and trust us when we say, that the name lives up to the experience. If you value genuinely personalized experiences, privacy, relaxation and exquisite food, then Jamahal Private Resort and Spa is the perfect resort for you.
Jamahal Private Resort and Spa has won several awards for being one of the top small hotels in Indonesia. The most recent award is the TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Award 2016 where Jamahal was among the top 10. Jamahal Private Resort and Spa is top listed in the categories; best service, romance and luxury hotel and we definitely believe that these awards are well deserved.
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
Let me just say, that we’ve missed our stay in Jamahal Private Resort and Spa as soon as we left the resort. We had such a good experience in Jamahal Private Resort and Spa. Our stay at Jamahal Private Resort and Spa is one of the highlights of our Bali trip. It is a MUST to stay here while in Bali. It was our first time but most definitely not be our last time staying at Jamahal Private Resort and Spa.
Jamahal Private Resort and Spa really takes pride in being the perfect resort for honeymooners due to their high service standards and privacy. We could not agree more. Upon arrival, we were met with smiling faces, making us feel at home immediately. Jamahals focus on high quality service is emphasized by the staffs friendliness and attentiveness. The staff was so good to us during the whole stay and always referring to us by our first names and always ensuring that our needs were met. Jamahal Private Resort and Spa’s staff were very kind and accommodating ensuring that each guest gets a individualized experience. Everything you need, the staff will provide. Even if you wish for something that is off the menu, the staff will do their best to accommodate you needs. I remember craving for the Balinese black rice pudding dessert for lunch, and it wasn’t available and it would take them 2 hours to prepare it. Instead of saying no, they asked us if it was okay that we got it for dinner instead! It was so nice of them to prepare this for us, and it ended up being such a culinary sensation! We got good food and good service all in 1.
As mentioned above, Jamahal Private Resort and Spa takes pride in the privacy that resort offers. So if you are looking for a some privacy with your loved one, then Jamahal Private Resort and Spa is the perfect resort for you. Each villa has their own private entrance and is surrounded by bamboo trees which gives out a tropical vibe to the villa. The villas are very private and you hardly notice the other guests, unless you are at the common areas. They allow you to cut off from the outside world, and just live within the walls of your villa. To maintain the unique, romantic ambience Jamahal requests that all guests to be over the age of 16.
Last but not least reason why we would recommend Jamahal Private Resort and Spa; the food! Each and every bite of each and every meal we had in Jamahal Private Resort and Spa was a sensation for our tastebuds! You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. Jamahal Private Resort and Spa’s meals are prepared with the finest of fresh produce, skillfully prepared to retain natural flavors, textures and aromas. Trust us when we tell you that you do not need to eat outside the resort. The food here was such a culinary sensation! Jamahal Private Resort and Spa has a shifting 3-course menu, so there is a new set of courses every day! The menu is made depending on the seasons best produces, so you get the best of what the day has to offer! YUMMM!
Jamahal Private Resort and Spa is the perfect haven for couples and honeymooners since they have everything that you might need, when staying at a resort. We did not find ourselves missing anything or wanting anything that the resort did not have. We genuinely felt like we could live at the resort forever.
Besides the private pool in our villa, Jamahal Private Resort and Spa also had a common lagoon-shaped swimming pool with a little waterfall located in the center of the resort. The poolside has sunbeds and 2 big cabanas. You can actually choose to eat your breakfast at these cabanas. We ate our breakfasts by the pool during the whole stay. We really enjoyed starting each day with an exquisite breakfast by the pool, with the tropical oasis vibe.
They have a gym for those who feels the need to break a sweat, lounge area where you can socialise or just relax in, if you need a change of venue, a spa and a private beach club.
Our personal favorite is of course the spa. The spa in Jamahal Private Resort and Spa offers a large variety of treatments, reflexology and facials using only natural high quality products. We got the Jamahal Massage, which is a relaxing blend of balinese, japanese and polynesian massage elements, which begins with an indulgent foot bath, and continues with a combination of long strokes, skin rolling and pressure techniques to relieve tension, improve blood flow and calm your spirit. The massage was absolutely exceptional! The masseuses were highly attentive, and very kind. The massage therapists were very professional and well trained. The background music is very important while receiving a massage since it is a huge factor to the whole vibe of the spa. We once got a massage at a place where they played the same melody in the background over and over again. I remember that the piercing sound from the melody really annoyed me! But not in Jamahal. The background music was very soothing and there were different melodies, allowing you to really relax and enjoy the massage. The massage from Jamahal was one of the best massages we’ve got on our trip. The spa had a balinese bath filled with rose petals, which you could relax in with a cup of tea, after your massage. An overall wonderful experience!
We stayed at a breathtaking pool suite villa. I did not believe in love at first sight, but the villa captured our hearts on sight. The villa was balinese style decorated, very elegant traditional and contemporary. The villa has an outdoor bathroom with a balinese bath! The villa ‘hidden’ surrounded by plants giving you your own private tropical oasis.
Of course, the villa has its own private pool and sunbeds.
We really enjoyed the outdoor bath! It is very Balinese, so it was a whole new experience for us. The only worry we had about the outdoor bath was the mosquitoes! But luckily, Jamahal already thought of that! Each night, they come and light up anti mosquito essences, to keep these little biters away. We did not have a problem with them during the whole stay, and the essences gave an extra zen vibe to our Balinese haven.
The room had a king sized bed with a gorgeous bed canopy. The main purpose with it is probably to keep insects away, but since there was none, it is not so necessary. Though, because we found it really cosy sleeping with the canopies closed, creating our own haven.
Jamahal is located on the southern tip of Bali, 20 minutes from Denpasar international airport. situated in the centre of Jimbaran, we are less than 400m away from the nearest beach.
Jimbaran is known for their strong surf waves and luxury hotels. There is a lot of dining options within the area, but trust us when we say, that it will not be needed! The food in Jamahal is some of the best we’ve ever tasted. YUUUM!
HOW TO GET THERE
We found it difficult to take public transportation in Bali, so we would not recommend this. Jamahal Private Resort and Spa has a transfer service, so if you wish, they can take care of your transfer, picking you up and dropping you off on your prefered destination.
You could also take a taxi and should you do so, remember to ask them to turn the meter on! Avoid negotiating a fee, because you will most likely find yourself overpaying.
