Palawan has been declared as one of the most beautiful Islands in the world and sitting on one of it’s hidden gems, Coron, is Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel. Surrounded by clear water as far as the eye can see on one side and a big mountain on the other, it truly is a heaven on Earth.
Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel is the perfect hotel and focal point for exploring Coron and visiting the nearby Islands.
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
First of all, we really can’t emphasize how beautiful everything is near this Island. By itself, Coron may be one of the most amazing place’s we have ever visited, but experiencing it from the Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel has truly heightened our experience.
We spent one night in the hotel’s Panorama Suite and one night in the Bayview King Room with Deck Access, and between these two rooms/suites, we definitely prefer the Panorama Suite. Waking up in the midst of water and mountains is just too unreal. If you ever plan to visit, a night or two in this suite is absolutely a MUST.
If the Island didn’t speak for itself, we owe our recommendations to the lovely staff of the hotel. Our concierge was so, so kind, could answer all questions we had regarding the hotel’s establishment and do’s and don’ts of the Island–and even handing out tips before we even asked. We really appreciated this as we only had two days in Coron, it was hard to put a finger on what we wanted to do and see exactly!
On the deckside of the hotel you’ll find the Bayside infinity pool overlooking the beautiful ocean an mountains. There are sunbeds by the pool and free towel service. Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct beach access from the hotel, but we’re sure the hotel personnel can guide you in the direction of the nearest beach.
Again, the amazing ocean view at combined with the comfort and quality of the hotel in might make Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel the best one in Coron!
BAYA Reto Lounge is the hotel’s restaurant. They serve continental and international cuisine but the star players on the menu were for us the Filippino food. The servings were great in size and the taste was authentic. We can definitely recommend eating here, especially on those days where you don’t know whether you should eat in or out. At Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel we vote IN!
Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel also offers guide tours whether you like them to be private or if you’d rather prefer to join a tour to meet other people. The tours they offer are included transportation to the harbour. Just ask front desk and they’ll help you out. We went on a private tour to visit Twin Lagoon, Siete Pecados and a shipwreck divesite to name a few. We really recommend that you look into these tours as they seriously will heighten your trip to Coron.
The hotel doesn’t offer in-house Spa services, they do however cooperate with an external Spa service. They send out the masseuse to the hotel and use the bed as a spa bed. It doesn’t seem fancy or anything but it’s still pretty nice!
We spent our first night in the Panorama Suite with 36.3 sq. m. of living space including a king size bed, flatscreen TV, lounge area and veranda. The bathroom was 14.6 sq. m. with stone tiles and lovely L’occitane shower products.
The suite had floor-to-ceiling windows, so when the blinds were up the ocean and mountains we exposed and it was simply beautiful. Overlooking this beautiful scenery evening and morning was simply so mesmerising. The bathroom had the same windows, so while taking a bath you’ll be surrounded by this amazing view. Just note that the floors aren’t one-way, so if your planning on stripping down, take the blinds down and once you’re in the tubbytub, take them up!
Although this suite isn’t large in squaremeters, the view of the endless view surely makes up for it – if you ever plan on visiting Coron, we can really recommend this suite!
We were only meant to stay at the Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel for one night, but as the ferries towards El Nido were cancelled on the following day we were forced to stay in Coron–a little blessing in disguise as we weren’t ready to part ways with the gorgeous Island. As the Panorama Suites were fully booked, we stayed in the Bayview King Room with Deck Access. The room is 27.3 sq. m. of living space including a king size bed, flatscreen TV, desk and deck access. On the deck the every room has two chairs, which was pretty nice. There are also sunbeds on the deck if you prefer some privacy and away from the crowd around the pool.
The hotel can be accessed directly from the main road and is close to small shops. If you don’t want to walk, a tricycle is 10 pesos per peson per ride, which is super cheap!
