We visited YOTEL Singapore earlier this year and didn’t really know what to expect from this – what we found out – luxury budget hotel in Singapore. Keep on reading to understand why we warmly recommend YOTEL Singapore!
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST
YOTEL Singapore opened its doors on October 1st, 2017, so everything from interior to exterior is brand new and screams sleek and modern design. Upon entering the hotel, you are greeted with this futuristic interior, with the option of self-check in or assisted check-in.
What truly won our hearts over was location of the hotel. Located at the heart of Singapore’s shopping district, Orchard Road, YOTEL Singapore is the perfect hotel whether you’re in the country for a quick shopping trip or staying for a longer period of time. From the hotel, we walked to Marina Bay Sands and enjoyed the walk back as well (which you can imagine takes some time with all the stores and malls along the way). If you choose a room with a view like Premium Queen View, you’ll have an incredible view of Orchard Road and the rest of the beautiful city.
The room was quite small, but the smart bed makes up for this little space. The bed in YOTEL Singapore is built with an elevator, so if you push the bed back enough it becomes a sofa!
YOTEL Singapore serves a daily breakfast in their in-house restaurant Grains and Hops located on the 10th floor. They serve Western and Asian options.
Outside of Grains and Hops you’ll find a swimming pool just big enough to swim laps or relax. If swimming isn’t for you, it’s also possible to relax on the sunbeds.
On the same floor as the restaurant and swimming pool you will also find YOTEL Singapore’s gym. It is accessible via your keycard and is equipped with essentials such as a treading mill and weights.
We stayed in the Premium Queen View which was quite small – but justifiable as they call the rooms cabins. However, as we travel to explore the city and country we visit, not to stay inside the room, we didn’t mind this at all. As mentioned earlier, the beds are awesome as they can transform into a sofa, giving a little bit more space to roam around.
The room had quite nice flat screen TV, media hub, mini bar and even a rain shower – can you imagine? In such a little room. We were very impressed. We love our rain showers!!
The cherry on top of the room must be the breathtaking view from the toilet. Quite an ambivalent feeling to sit on the John knowing nobody and possible everybody can see you!
Everything only footsteps away
